ABOUT TASMAN SCHOOL
TASMAN SCHOOL IS A VIBRANT, CARING, FAMILY ORIENTATED SCHOOL SET WITHIN A RURAL SETTING AND HAS AROUND 110 STUDENTS
The school and our families, work towards supporting our students to become the best they can! We aim for our children to be successful individuals, to show respect to others and become upstanding members of society who stand out in a positive way.
Tasman School is passionate about academic achievement, the arts, the environment, and physical activity. We are focussed on the technologies of the future and expect to have some fun along the way within the lovely nature we are surrounded by.
We are a small rural school surrounded by orchards, vineyards, the beautiful Kina coastline and Moutere Inlet. Our community consists of artists, writers, horticulturalists, potters, sculptors, tradesmen, immigrants, cafes and tourism ventures and we are very proud of this level of diversity. We are committed to building an arts rich culture and hope to continue to provide opportunities for our students to appreciate, challenge and create art. We are proud of our achievement of winning first place in the Nelson Mask Parade in the last two years we have entered and wish to continue our involvement in a range of regional events.
The school is well placed to provide the best of both town and country - as it builds on the past to achieve an exciting future.
